God is in the Wind

So, it's been a while since I last posted but I have wifi for tonight so I'm spoiled :) Last week was so great! I came to Haiti with 9 other members of my church. We were able to do school ministry in the mornings. We did skits of bible stories and sang silly songs with them. The star of the show was Marisol, who is fluent in French and was able to communicate with the kids so well! What a gift it is to not have a language barrier. After we worked at the school, we were able to do some construction in the community of Gressier. We ended up hauling over 1000 cinder blocks up a mountain, and then passed buckets of sand down the mountain to help make the mortar for the walls of the house. We met some really great people while working there. The people were so eager to help and to yeah us some Creole. I'm sure we sound silly, but I think they appreciate us trying to learn the language and we appreciate their patience with us! We were able to go to Jacmel on Thursday and spend some time at a Carribean beach. How awesome is God that He created such beauty for our pleasure! It was very warm all week, and doing manual labor didn't make things much cooler! Every time a breeze comes, I thank God for the wind. He is present in everything in this beautiful country, and I feel His presence here now. Thank you for your continued prayers. I can tell you know that God is working in big ways!

  2. You know how special you are to me. You also know I am praying for you daily. I did pick up on your freshman year, even expressed my concern to B. "Thou wilt keep him (you) in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee". Isaiah 26:3a"
    "Until we meet again . . . "
    My love as always!
