Year two, week one

Hello again! I am so happy to be writing this post from Carrefour, Haiti! I've been back in Haiti for a week now and I can truly say that it feels like I never left.

This past week I worked with a team from Tennessee. This is the same group that my church worked with last summer when they were down. It was great to see some familiar faces and serve alongside them!

We serve in a community called Mariani. It's about 15-20 minutes away from where we live. The church that we worked on last week has been a project for the last 3 years with Praying Pelican Missions. Last week, the team poured cement for the final bone beam in preparation for the roof on the beautiful three story building!

The team and I were privileged to be working with some incredible staff. Almondo and Cassie Jean-Louis, along with their brother, Phito, were there with us. My good friend Marlo was also here with us to serve with her hurch in America. I also got to meet some new Haitian friends, Shamma and Jovani. They were such a joy to serve with!

Thank you so much for your prayers! I really do feel them always. I can't tell you how much it means to me that I have not only my family, but my church family and friends at home supporting me.

As for specific prayer requests, I have a few. Please be in prayer for our team this week as we serve at Good Shepard Orphanage. We will be doing some light construction and clean-up of the facilities and will be having a TON of fun playing with the kids.

Please also pray for my family! My brother and sister (in law) are serving in Zambia, Africa right now! We are so excited to see how The Lord will use them!

Lastly, continue to pray for my family. My grandad, Pepa, is at home now in hospice care. Please pray for my grandmother and my family as we go through this time. It's difficult to be away from my family when they are in need, but I must trust that God has me here for a reason, and he will bring us all through this trial stronger.

Thank you and I love you dearly!
